BUXUS SEMPERVIRENS : common name ENGLISH BOX

Traditional small formal hedging plant, Buxus Sempervirens add style and grace to any garden designs. From the more Formal Gardens through to the Spanish/Tuscany courtyards, even the delightful Cottage Gardens are enhanced with this type of hedging. Buxus Sempervirens has a dark green foliage with a very tight compact form, this enables it to be clipped into a very nice hedge or as a topiary form.

Slower in growing than other varieties Buxus Sempervirens requires less maintenance. Planting can be from full sun to part shade. Planting in full shade with instant hedging will give the advantage of the hedge already formed, this cannot be fully attained by growing up smaller stock as there is insufficient light to enable adequate growth.

Buxus Sempervirens requires very well drained soil and grow in cooler climates.

Hedge sizes available:
1 metre long x 35cm high x 25cm wide per metre
